Mark Cairns

Mark Cairns is an IT technician and community activist.

As a Waterloo Regional Labour council officer and United Way volunteer, Mark is involved with the community on many levels. His work puts him in touch with people from all walks of life and has allowed him to hear the issues facing real people in Kitchener.

Since moving to Kitchener in 2003, Mark has become politically involved with the goal of lowering tuition fees, raising the minimum wage and fighting healthcare privatization. He is also involved with initiatives to protect family farms and the local environment.
